    We are seeking an Architect to provide proactive consulting services requiring architectural/facility design expertise for our property owner, developer, and contractor clients. Requires a strong understanding of both commercial and residential building envelope systems, building codes, ADA guidelines, and construction document preparation.  Manages multiple projects.     Responsibilities

    • Performs condition assessments of existing buildings within the field of architecture/facility design. 
    • Completes design assignments within the field of architecture/facility design related to upgrades, maintenance, and restoration of existing structures, as well as components of design related to new construction.
    • Completes constructability and third party peer reviews of plans and specifications. 
    • Completes construction quality assurance and quality control inspections.
    • Manages multiple projects. Coordinates with other support team members to produce client reports in timely manner.
    • Ensures that procedures are being followed and checks on safety features of the project during the time it is being completed.
    • Uses many different equations, applications, and figures to ensure the proper procedural application.
    • May serve as team leader or project manager. May be required to supervise and/or evaluate performance of associate team members.
    • Ability to initiate, develop, and maintain mutually beneficial client relationships.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. Architecture degree or higher required.
    • 4-8 years of experience as an architect in the design of building envelope systems for construction documents, construction administrative services, and/or project management of building construction.
    • Registration as a Licensed Architect is desired, but not required.
    • Must have high level of analytical skills. Work requires continual attention to detail with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling software is required.
    • Good report writing skills, ability to develop and commit to budgets, scopes, and deadlines are also required.
    • Must be able to interact and communicate with clients at all levels (e.g. internal and external), and work independently with good judgment and critical thinking skills.
    • Occasional travel in and out of state on assignments is required.
    • Physical ability to perform all of the following functions is required: Climb ladders, walk on roofs, and enter and work in confined spaces, if applicable.. Work outdoors in hot or cold weather. Lift up to 50 pounds. Use necessary safety equipment.
    • Perform duties that may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, or squatting for prolonged periods of time.
