  • Overview

    This position can be worked from Philadelphia, Las Vegas, Phoenix or Southern California (LA Area).

     

    We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer with design experience involving conventional wood framing, masonry and concrete to support new and remedial construction efforts nationwide.     Responsibilities

    In this position you will apply your technical knowledge to design solutions for the complex and unique problems of our clients.  Projects will include a mix of residential, multi-family, industrial and commercial projects, with an emphasis on repair of damage from fire, wind and impacts, as well as enhancements to existing facilities to accommodate changes in use and implementation of equipment and machinery. You must be able to manage several projects simultaneously and be detail orientated. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are essential. You will also be expected to assist with Business Development while interacting with Clients.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering required. Advanced degree desired.
    • Professional Engineering, P.E. required with ability to become licensed in additional states (NCEES preferred).
    • S.E. in California and/or Illinois also desired, but not required.
    • 5-10 years of structural design experience, to include proficiency in AutoCAD.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a must.
    • Must be outgoing and able to interact with staff, clients, and home/business owners.
    • Must be able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • You must possess excellent verbal, communication skills and technical writing abilities.
    • You must always respect your clients and co-workers.
    • For required site visits, physical ability to perform all of the following functions is required: Climb ladders, walk on roofs, enter and work in confined spaces; work outdoors in hot or cold weather; lift up to 50 pounds;  use necessary safety equipment.
